About Us

RMCC provides supportive living services to those with an acquired brain injury who require specialized services. We address complex medical and neurobehavioral issues that many traditional care facilities cannot. We specialize in addressing these complex conditions associated with brain injury by overseeing and collaborating with our resident’s team members, including, but not limited to direct support staff, family, guardians, case managers, and medical providers (psychiatrist, neurologist, etc.)

We engage by helping each person plan trips and outings, watch shows together, sing some karaoke, go to the mountains, support hobbies and activities, attend medical appointments, create opportunities to work and volunteer, help them take pictures and document their lives the way so many of us do with our friends and families. We are about providing emotional support as well as education and information for the individuals we serve.

We are a team at RMCC. The Executive Director is there for you daily, and in live time. She oversees all medical coordination for our residents. We want our staff to feel supported in our mission and be prepared to do the best they can for our residents. This is our resident’s home; it’s everyone’s job to make it happy, healthy, comfortable, and welcoming.

RMMC Mission: To provide long term community based habilitative residential services to individuals diagnosed with an acquired brain injury by supporting the growth of maximum independence in the least restrictive environment.

RMCC Residential Supported Living Program is designed for individuals who may have completed a post-acute or neurobehavioral rehabilitation program or are living alone or with family and need a more structured living environment to support their level of functioning.

RMCC offers community based residential services in the greater Denver area for adults. Our homes are in wonderful neighborhoods, near open space, trails, and parks. Services and activities are convenient for our residents, allowing easy access to their community. We provide the resources and opportunities for each resident to live a diverse, full life.

From Hilary Samuel our Executive Director:

Hilary grew up volunteering with underserved and homeless individuals. While she didn’t know it at the time, this would be a foundation for her future work. She loves horseback riding, reading, travelling, and being with family. She is an avid equestrian and volunteered extensively with equine hippotherapy programs for disabled youth for many years. She was awarded the Kindness Scholarship by Cherry Creek High School in her senior year and was part of a national collaborative challenge to find solutions to environmental disasters such as global water shortages, becoming a state finalist. At university she studied Philosophy and Environmental Ethics, while continuing to volunteer with at risk populations in residential settings, earning a BA from University of Colorado.

  • After college, Hilary went on to organize local efforts for voter registration and a national presidential campaign, which drew her close to the community and grew her passion for wanting to help people one on one. The unique opportunity to become a QMAP, and then an Administrator was the result of volunteering in a brain injury program. Hilary is passionate about her work and is driven to provide each person with a happy and equitable life, filled with the same opportunities that we want for ourselves. It has been her privilege to enter this field of service and learn from her colleagues, mentors, and those whom we support.

What you can expect from Hilary:
